The Western History Association is now accepting applications for its 2026 Graduate Student Research Workshop, which will be held in Portland, Oregon. Supported by the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library at Yale University, the workshop brings graduate students together with archivists, librarians, information professionals, and peers to strengthen research projects and develop lasting professional connections.
Participants will learn about library and archival resources, discuss research challenges with experts, and build networks that can support their work throughout graduate school and beyond.
One detail that deserves emphasis: accepted students receive a $250 honorarium at the conclusion of the workshop. This is an opportunity to get individualized help with your research, deepen your knowledge of archival and library resources, and be paid for your participation.
Participation is limited to 20 graduate students.
Applications are due September 9.
More information and the application are available at:

Please share this opportunity with graduate students who would benefit from focused research support, archival guidance, and new scholarly connections!
